Thailand Travel Itinerary Day by Day

Contents of the Guide

Thailand is one of the most popular destinations for families and newlyweds from the Gulf. This 9-day itinerary combines Bangkok with its temples and markets, and Phuket with its beaches and island trips. It is flexible, and you can swap Phuket for Krabi or Chiang Mai. It comes with an English version for anyone who needs it for a visa application.

Best time to visit Thailand

The best season is November to February: dry, mild weather and calm seas in Phuket. March to May is hot, and June to October is the rainy season with high waves on the Andaman coast, but prices are lower.

Getting around and practical tips

The domestic flight between Bangkok and Phuket is quick, and much better than the bus, which takes more than 10 hours. Book island trips with licensed operators, and avoid them on days with high waves. For families, hotels in Kata and Karon are quieter than Patong.

Do you need a visa for Thailand?

Saudi and other Gulf citizens are usually exempt from a visa for short tourist visits, but must fill in the Thailand Digital Arrival Card (TDAC) before arrival. Residents of other nationalities may need an e-Visa, which usually requires flight reservations, hotel bookings and an itinerary. Check the official Thai e-Visa website before you travel.

We prepare your itinerary and bookings if your visa requires them, with matching dates between Bangkok and Phuket.

Enough for Bangkok and Phuket. To add Chiang Mai, add at least 3 days.

Do I need travel insurance for Thailand?

It is not a requirement for most visitors, but it is strongly recommended because of treatment costs in private hospitals. Travel insurance
